The Rev. Cindy Crane

Cindy is the executive director of Gay Straight Alliance for Safe Schools in Madison, Wisconsin. She served ELCA parishes for 10 years mainly in western Wisconsin and also in Minneapolis. After coming out, she helped to initiate the ECP-Twin Cities Panel and joined the ECP roster. She is not always sure why she remains Lutheran since there are very limited call opportunities for ECP pastors and so few ELCA parishes where segregation is not practiced at the altar. Further she is passionate about her secular job. And yet that unamed movement within, that spark some would name as a call, emerges and reminds her in unexpected ways that for now at least it is right to remain.
