Jay Wilson is a queer and genderqueer transguy, autistic and disabled, who identifies as a Lutheran postmodern, third-wave feminist, academic geek, disability rights activist, and social justice advocate. Jay completed his Masters in Social Work from College of St. Catherine/St. Thomas University and just completed his Masters in Divinity from Luther Seminary in St. Paul, Minnesota. While attending Luther Seminary, he co-founded AGAPE, a group for LGBTQ students and allies, and transitioned female-to-male in appearance while living on campus. Jay recently served on the Board of Directors as Transgender Representative of Lutheran's Concerned/North America, who's ministries aim to "support the acceptance and full participation of people of all sexual orientations and gender identities, their families, friends and allies, within the Lutheran communion and its ecumenical and global partners" . After being removed from the process to become a pastor in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America due to gender identity and sexual orientation, Jay is now a candidate in the Extraordinary Candidacy Project.
Jay also serves as a member of the Good Soil Consensus Cirlce.
